Luca Maurer, director of the Center for LGBT Education, Outreach and Services, is now additionally serving as the interim executive director for Student Equity and Belonging for the remainder of the 2021–22 academic year. Lauren Goldberg, executive director for Hillel at Ithaca College, is now additionally working as part-time interim director of the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life.

College encourages students to stay safe at Cortaca Jug game

The first Cortaca Jug game in one year will take place Nov. 13. However, this year’s game will still take place during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Osorto said the majority of his work has consisted of ensuring that the college recognizes and supports the religious, spiritual and secular identities of students and working to create opportunities for campus community members to have interfaith discussions about belonging to multiple identities.

Ithaca College LGBT center celebrates 20 years with new space

The college’s LBGT center, which works to advance the growth and success of LGBTQ+ students, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
Ithaca College will hold two in-person commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2022 on May 22, 2022. Commencement for the Class of 2021 was held in person in the A&E Center on May 23. Students were allowed to walk across the stage to receive their diplomas, however, guests were not permitted.
