‘On the Same Page’ – Afro-Latin Society Commemoration, Fairy Fest, Polar Plunge

The Polar Plunge, an annual event that fundraises for Special Olympic New York, was hosted on March 23 by the Student-Athlete Advisory Council. Volunteers that raised over $25 line up to take the plunge in freezing conditions.

The Ithaca College Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) organized a team for the annual Polar Plunge on March 23, an event aimed at raising money and awareness for athletes competing in the Special Olympics.

Ithaca College Athletics announced the return of the Blue Crew student rewards program on Jan. 31. This program brings together Ithaca College students, giving them an incentive to attend sporting events in return for points toward special prizes. 
On Oct. 15 the Ithaca College athletic department issued a new dress code that impacts practice attire for varsity athletes in the Athletic and Events and Hill Centers.

On Oct. 15, the Ithaca College athletic department released a statement that redefined the way varsity athletes are allowed to present themselves.

Basketball teams announce hiring of new assistant coaches

Over the summer, the Ithaca College women’s and men’s basketball teams both recruited new assistant coaches, Mary Mazzella and Matthew Smith.
Members of the Ithaca College community gathered at Towers Marketplace on April 10 for the third annual BomberTHON. Student-athletes from several teams around the college helped raise money through the dance marathon that benefited Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital, a Miracle Network Hospital in Syracuse, New York.
