The Student Governance Council and Class of 2020 senior council candidates held platform presentations April 18.
Sophomore Alex Perry, varsity sports senator, gives a presentation on the Transgender Varsity Athlete Policy Recommendation during SGCs April 15 meeting. The bill calls on the college’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics to update its website with a direct policy on transgender athletes. It passed unanimously.

SGC passes bill to provide free stamps for absentee ballots

The Student Governance Council passed a bill to provide free postage stamps for absentee ballots for all elections during its Feb. 25 meeting.
Freshman Sebestian Chavez was elected senator-at-large by the Sudent Governance Council. The council is still looking to fill twelve empty seats on the counsil as quickly as possible.
