Deanne Poitras was hired as the new health insurance navigator at the Ithaca College Hammond Health Center. The health insurance navigator is available by appointment for any students or parents with questions about their health insurance plan.

In May 2024, Deanne Poitras was hired as the new health insurance navigator at the Ithaca College Hammond Health Center. Poitras’s services became available during summer 2024, but are in full swing Fall 2024.

Popular international student health insurance improved to meet IC’s requirements

ISO Student Health Insurance — a commonly used and affordable alternative health insurance provider for international students — has created a plan to meet Ithaca College’s requirements. This change comes after international students originally found out in February 2023 that ISO Student Health Insurance would not be accepted from Fall 2023 onward. 
The Student Health Insurance Plan costs $3,066 from Aug. 10 to Aug. 9, 2024. For incoming students attending the college in Spring 2024, the coverage will last from Jan. 1, 2024 to Aug. 9, 2024, but the cost of insurance for this time period has not been determined yet. 

College switches Student Health Insurance Plan for 2023–24

For the 2023–24 academic year, Ithaca College will be changing its Student Health Insurance Provider from MVP Health Care to Aetna Student Health. 
In a campus-wide email June 14, Bonnie Prunty, vice president for Student Affairs and Campus Life, announced that the partnership will continue the relationship that the college has formed with CHS and improve student health services.
