DI volleyball transfers expand horizons at IC

In January, Ithaca College volleyball announced two young transfers from Division I schools, sophomore libero/defensive specialist Jamie Low from the University of San Francisco and first-year middle Elena Chappell from the University of New Hampshire. 
The Ithaca College Volleyball team captured its fourth consecutive Liberty League championship 
Nov. 15. After a historic 24-4 regular season, the team is determined to win a national championship.

Volleyball eyes program’s first national championship

The Ithaca College volleyball team will hang up a Liberty League championship banner in Ben Light Gymnasium for the fourth consecutive year and the Bombers are “striving for more” as they begin the journey to an NCAA Division III National Championship. They have been dominant for years, yet the Bombers agree it feels like this is their year to advance further into the NCAA tournament. The Bombers have a 0.867 winning percentage, the highest since 1995. 
Junior setter Wesley Slavin recorded 2,000 career assists Oct. 7, making her the ninth to do so in program history.

Junior sets up strong start for record-breaking career

Ithaca College volleyball junior setter Wesley Slavin made history on the court. As of Oct. 11, Slavin has recorded 2,096 career assists, which currently places her in the top nine for assists all-time in IC volleyball history. Compared to the more than 400 games the others on the assist leaderboard have competed in, Slavin has only played 218 games.

Volleyball finishes undefeated in Bomber Invitational

The No. 21 Ithaca College volleyball team welcomed three teams to the annual Bomber Invitational by sweeping them, defeating the University of Rochester Yellowjackets 29-27, 25-10 and 25-8, as well as the Middlebury College Panthers 25-20, 25-19 and 25-15 before similarly disposing of the St. John Fisher University Cardinals 25-23, 25-10 and 25-14.

Volleyball sets up for third Championship win

The Ithaca College volleyball team is back and is ready to defend its title following back-to-back Liberty League Championships in 2022 and 2023 and advancing to the regional semifinal round in the NCAA tournament in 2023. With a new head coach and a new class coming in, expectations are high for the season.
For the 2024–25 season, six teams — men’s cross-country, men’s track and field, volleyball, sculling, women's rowing and women’s tennis — will have a new head coach. Four different teams will have new assistant coaches.

Fresh coaching staff brings a new era

As the academic year kicks off, so does a new athletic season. For the 2024–25 season, six teams — men’s cross-country, men’s track and field, volleyball, sculling, women's rowing and women’s tennis — will have a new head coach. In addition, four teams — men’s basketball, men’s rowing, sculling and women’s rowing — will have new assistant coaches.
