The Ithaca College Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) organized a team for the annual Polar Plunge on March 23, an event aimed at raising money and awareness for athletes competing in the Special Olympics.
The 2024 Ithaca Polar Plunge took place on Saturday, March 23. People ran into the freezing waters at Taughannock Falls State Park to support local Special Olympics New York athletes.
Four students traveled to the Rescue Mission in Syracuse, New York, and five to the Finger Lakes parks from Oct. 15 to 18 for the trips, which were organized and hosted by the Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs.
