SWIFT expands to double local food donation goals

This semester, the IC Environmentalists Club added an additional day of food gathering to its Stop Wasting Ithaca’s Food Today program.

Ithaca College increases gathering spaces under Master Plan

This year, several outdoor gathering spaces will be built on campus as one of the first installments of Ithaca College’s Master Plan.
At the start of the semester, Terrace Dining Hall was having issues —long lines, food shortages and a lack of student employees made it a rough start to the year. Since then, some of these problems have been resolved but students are still noticing issues.

Though the Terrace Dining Hall at Ithaca College underwent major renovations this year, it has experienced new problems with staffing and operations. Jeffrey Scott, Sodexo area general manager, said attendance in the dining hall has been up about 10 percent so far this semester, which he said could be attributed to the renovations. However, the dining hall experienced a shortage of student employees and is also missing a chef manager.

Ithaca College SGA prepares for elections in first meeting

The Ithaca College Student Government Association held its first meeting of the 2016–17 academic year in the newly-renovated Terrace Dining Hall, where it hosted a guest speaker from Sodexo and prepared for its upcoming elections.
The Terrace Dining Hall at Ithaca College celebrated its 50th birthday this year with a new look, which features upgraded interior decor, food stations and floor space.

Ithaca College’s Terrace Dining Hall celebrated its 50th birthday this year with a facelift, including renovations to the infrastructure, floor space and interior decor.
Larry Workman, general manager of contract staffing for Challenge Workforce Solutions, said the program allows workers from a variety of circumstances with physical or intellectual disabilities and language or work-experience barriers to have “meaningful employment.”

Winter storm system delays travel back to Ithaca College

After a winter storm crippled much of the East Coast and severely hindered traffic on major roadways and delayed thousands of airline flights, many students returning for the spring semester were set back in their travels.
Students who live in the Sustainability Community, now known as the Organic Gardening and Cooking Community, cook food from the organic gardens on campus, including the one on the roof of Terrace Dining Hall that was planted in the Fall.

IC students to revitalize Terrace Dining Hall rooftop gardens
