Q&A: Organization prioritizes first-generation students

Karen Collias founded the organization Knowledge Without Borders in 2009 to help more first-generation students study abroad.
The First-Generation Student Group was created by several Ithaca College students and became recognized by the Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs this semester. The group hopes to serve as an outlet for first-generation college students, the first in their family to attend college.
