Two new Ithaca College Dana professors were announced Aug. 30, after changes were made to the professorship program by the Faculty Council and subsequently approved by the Executive Committee of the Dana Foundation this past February.

Administrative departures create uncertainty for academic year

Ithaca College's senior leadership has seen a significant number of administrative departures, leaving the college with uncertainty about what will be accomplished throughout the remainder of his tenure.

Search committee aims to pick next president by end of 2016

Following a summer of work by the presidential search committee, meeting and vetting candidates, the search for a new president of Ithaca College has been narrowed to under 30 candidates. The committee's stated goal is to select a new president of the college by the end of 2016.

IC administration lists priorities at All-College Meeting

The Ithaca College administration took a different approach to the biannual All-College Meeting on Aug. 18. Instead of the traditional meeting structure consisting of updates on the budget, enrollment data or upcoming initiatives, President Tom Rochon focused on two “commitments” to the campus community — diversity and inclusion, and shared governance.

Ithaca College plans second campus climate survey release

Ithaca College has set a date range for administering its second campus climate survey, which will assess how the community feels about living and learning at the institution.
Lena Sargenti is the only sophomore in the health and physical education teaching major at Ithaca College. She was recently awarded the Ruth Abernathy Presidential Scholarship from the Society of Health and Physical Educators America.

Ithaca College announces presidential search committee

Ithaca College has announced the members of the search committee for the college’s ninth president. The committee of 15 is made up of six members of the Ithaca College Board of Trustees, one dean, three faculty members, two staff members, two students and one alumni representative.
