Deep connection shines through on football coaching staff

One Beat. The motto of the Ithaca College football team emphasizes togetherness and an almost brotherly connection. This season, the Bombers have relied on three new coaches who all have deep roots with the program. On March 24, the Bombers announced the hiring of assistant coaches Ben Mason, Will Margraff, and Will Gladney ’20. Mason was brought in to coach both running backs and tight ends, while Gladney was brought in to coach wide receivers and Margraff to coach linebackers.
First-year student linebacker Dante Bruschi joined the Ithaca College football team after growing up surrounded by professional football. His father, Tedy, was a linebacker in the National Football League for 13 seasons.

Son of NFL star makes a name for himself at IC

Bombers’ first-year student linebacker Dante Bruschi comes from a football family. Dante’s father, Tedy Bruschi, is a former All-Pro linebacker for the New England Patriots and currently works at ESPN as an NFL analyst.
Bahamonde started his junior season with a strong performance Sept. 4 versus Bridgewater State University. Bahamonde scored 10 of the Bombers 52 points and kicked six touchbacks.

Football kicker travels country in semester away from field
