Ithaca College resumes in-person campus tours

The college began hosting in-person campus tours again April 10. The tours are offered to accepted students who have received an invitation to tour the college.
Ithaca College will not be making any changes to its mask guidelines for the remainder of the spring semester.

Active COVID-19 cases in Tompkins County fall below 100

As of March 3, there were 81 active cases, with 12 new cases reported the same day. Active cases have been under 100 for the last four days.

Two new cases of UK COVID variant identified

Both individuals are in isolation, and all close contacts are in quarantine. Both cases were identified following travel, according to the Tompkins County Health Department.
In reaction to four reports of drug-laced drinks and one report of sexual assault at events hosted by Cornell University fraternities, Cornell has suspended all fraternity parties and social events. The Ithaca Police Department and the Cornell University Police Department are currently investigating both reports.  

Cornell lowers COVID-19 alert level after cases decrease

Cornell University lowered its COVID-19 alert level Feb. 22 from yellow to green, meaning cases are rare and transmission is controlled.

Services suspended at Ithaca Urgent Care due to COVID-19

Cayuga Health Systems (CHS) is suspending services at the Ithaca Urgent Care starting Feb. 15.
There were 52 new COVID-19 cases at the university Nov. 11. Within a 14-day period of Nov. 7–20, there were 179 new cases.

Syracuse University cancels in-person instruction

Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York, has canceled in-person classes and activities for the rest of the fall semester.
