Asli Sezgin, a visiting postdoctoral researcher at IC, was waiting to board a plane in Turkey to travel to New York and begin work with Project Look Sharp when a massive earthquake hit.

I am here to remind you that the U.S. is not the only country undergoing political and cultural changes.
Vedat Demir studied at Ithaca College as a visiting scholar-in-residence between 2012–14. Now, he's been arrested and placed in Turkish prison after he was thought to have been an accomplice in the failed military coup which took place in Turkey on July 15.

Adnan Selimovic spent a year at Ithaca College teaching courses like U.S. Politics Through Scandals and Illicit Drug Trade in the United States. Selimovic encourages his students to question their place in the social structure.

Politics professor challenges students

Adnan Selimovic, instructor in the politics department, is a new professor to Ithaca College this year. He is working to finish his dissertation on youth cultures and technology while teaching courses at the college.
