In a March 14 press release, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights announced that over 50 colleges and universities, including Ithaca College, are under investigation for alleged racial discrimination.

The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights announced in a March 14 press release that it will be investigating over 50 colleges and universities across the country, including Ithaca College, for alleged racial discrimination.
The panel, hosted by IC Strike and the college’s Title IX office, was held Sept. 24 to be a conversation about the new national Title IX regulations and the impact on the college’s Title IX rules.

The U.S. Department of Education published a proposition Nov. 29 in the Federal Register outlining changes to be made to Title IX protections.
The date to begin filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid has been moved to Oct. 1, three months earlier than the previous Jan. 1 date. The application is now live for students to begin filling out the application, and the Ithaca College Office of Student Financial Services is working on notifying students of the change.
