On the afternoon of April 16, the Ithaca College baseball team took on the SUNY Oswego State Lakers in an out-of-conference matchup at Valesente Diamond at Freeman Field. The Lakers controlled the game from the first pitch and defeated the Bombers 11-6.

After an interrupted first season as manager, head coach David Valesente and the Ithaca College baseball team look to swing for the fences.

George Valesente has coached the Ithaca College men's baseball team for 41 years and recently announced his retirement effective July 31.
