The Ithaca College men’s basketball team cruised past the St. Lawrence University Saints in the Liberty League Championship Tournament Semifinals on Feb. 28. The Bombers’ suffocating defense and ability to get to the free-throw line propelled them to a 62-42 victory.

Men’s basketball mounts comeback to defeat Tigers

The Ithaca College men’s basketball team staged a late-game comeback for a 80-69 win over the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers on Feb. 11 in the Ben Light Gymnasium. The victory boosts the Bombers to a 13-8 record, and a third-place standing in the Liberty League with three games left to play.

Men’s basketball comes up short against Engineers

The Ithaca College men’s basketball team dropped a nail-biter to Liberty League Conference leader Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Engineers 54-51 on Feb. 8, falling short of what would have been a storybook comeback. The loss drops the Bombers 1.5 games behind the Engineers with just five games to play. The Bombers have now lost five straight games to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, but hold a winning 27-22 record.

Men’s basketball takes down Thoroughbreds in Friday night showdown

The Ithaca College men's basketball team put together a complete performance to finish off the season sweep over the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds with a 77-64 win Feb. 7 in the Ben Light Gymnasium. The Bombers now sit at 12–7 and one game out of first place while Skidmore drops to 5–15 on the year.

Men’s basketball controls the clock against Statesmen

The Ithaca College men’s basketball team kept its momentum rolling with a hard-fought 63-60 victory over the Hobart College Statesmen, improving to 11-6 on the season. With five wins in their last six games, the Bombers are now just half a game out of first place in the Liberty League Championship Tournament standings, and the team has an all-time record of 25-7 at home versus the Statesmen.

First-year standout helps Bombers navigate through early season injuries

The Ithaca College men’s basketball team has had to navigate through adversity early on in the season as several key rotational pieces have been sidelined with injuries. However, led by the emergence of first-year forward Chris Leysath, the Bombers find themselves with a 9–5 record and are 6–1 in Liberty League competition.

After missing the playoffs in the 2023–24 campaign, the Ithaca College men’s basketball team looks to return to its winning ways with a mix of youth and upperclassmen leaders, as it battles through early season injuries.

Senior guard takes his talents abroad

This past summer, the Ithaca College men’s basketball team’s senior guard Logan Wendell took his talents overseas and played internationally in Brazil, representing the U.S. in the Division III All-Stars.
For the 2024–25 season, six teams — men’s cross-country, men’s track and field, volleyball, sculling, women's rowing and women’s tennis — will have a new head coach. Four different teams will have new assistant coaches.

Fresh coaching staff brings a new era

As the academic year kicks off, so does a new athletic season. For the 2024–25 season, six teams — men’s cross-country, men’s track and field, volleyball, sculling, women's rowing and women’s tennis — will have a new head coach. In addition, four teams — men’s basketball, men’s rowing, sculling and women’s rowing — will have new assistant coaches.
