Whalen Symposium seeks Visual and Performing Arts Students

The James J. Whalen Academic Symposium will present new awards for visual arts, theater arts and communications to students this year in an effort to attract more interest from those disciplines.

Sophomore Emily Behrmann-Fowler is the first to pursue both a both a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance and a Bachelor of Science degree in theater arts management, which she will finish in 2016 and 2017, respectively.

Seniors create website for college composers

After winning the Ithaca College Business Idea Competition in 2012, seniors Ben Van De Water and Josh Condon are in the process of launching Composer HQ, a website for college composers to interact and discuss each other's work.
