Women’s basketball establishes record number of wins during season

The women’s basketball team dispelled any doubts or concerns it had at the outset of the 2011-12 season by posting a program record 24-win season, capturing the Empire 8 Conference Championship and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The women's basketball team (24—5) suffered a 55-51 defeat at the hands of Bowdoin College (21—7) last night. The loss ended Ithaca’s season in the second round of the NCAA Championship Tournament, while the Bowdoin Polar Bears advanced to the Sweet 16 for the third consecutive year.

The women’s basketball team (23–4) grinded out a 43-38 victory against Hartwick College in yesterday’s Empire 8 Tournament Championship game in Ben Light Gymnasium. The Bombers' win earned them a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three years.
