Faculty Council discusses protections for faculty of color

The Faculty Council discussed amending the Faculty Handbook to prevent faculty of color from being disproportionately affected by faculty cuts.
Tom Swensen, Faculty Council chairman and professor and chair in the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences, led Faculty Council to discuss bylaw changes to the Faculty Handbook Oct. 4. At the meeting, Swensen also led the discussion of changes proposed to the Faculty Benefits Committee.
