College restructures fall orientation for incoming freshmen

Ithaca College has re-evaluated its freshman orientation process in an attempt to make the experience more helpful for incoming students.
First-generation freshmen students went to a program event in the Taughannock Falls room in Ithaca College Square on Aug. 25 as part of the pilot year of the First Look Program, a program to help first-generation students.

Ithaca College recently announced its new open-housing policy, allowing students to select roommates regardless of sex or gender.
Concerns arose at the SGA meeting after senior Dominick Recckio, the president of the SGA and the sponsor of the vote of no confidence bill, said his plan was that he would be the only person who would have access to the results of the vote during the voting period.
