In the Ithaca College women’s golf team’s final meet prior to postseason play, sophomore Indiana Jones topped the leaderboard with a two-day score of 160 at the Ithaca College Invitational at the Country Club of Ithaca.

The team finished with a total score of 691, six strokes off the pace of rival SUNY Cortland for first place.

After carding a day one–leading score of 79 on a par-72 course, Jones padded her lead with a day two score of 81 to finish 16 over par for the tournament.

Senior Mary Rooker also saw success during day one. Rooker recorded a career-low score of 87 during the first round of the invitational. She concluded the second round with a score of 97 for a two-day score of 184, which placed her in a tie for 12th overall.

Two other Bombers also finished in the top 12. With a day two score of 82, sophomore Kyra Denish collected a total score of 170 and finished in a tie for third place.

Junior Kimberley Wong earned an 11th place finish after carding a total score of 181. After opening the competition with a score of 93, Wong came back with an 88 on day two.

The Blue and Gold are currently in the discussion for a potential NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championship at-large bid. If the South Hill squad were to clinch a berth in the championship, the tournament will be held from May 10–13 in Houston, Texas.
