1. New York State police said they may have found the body of a Cornell student, 20-year-old junior Denis Lukashkov, who has been missing since Wednesday morning. Police believe Lukashkov may have jumped into the Hudson River after leaving his vehicle parked on the Tappan Zee Bridge. Car keys and Lukashkov’s identification were found in his abandoned vehicle.
2. Ithaca College alumnus Shea O’Neill ’07 will be speaking at the first Sustainability Cafe of the semester about his life as an environmental historian. O’Neill graduated with a history degree and then entered the field of urban planning. He currently works for an economic development firm as a Geographic Information Systems and data analyst. 3. Tompkins County announced a plan to rebuild the one-lane, metal bridge on Forest Home Drive in the Town of Ithaca. Construction is expected to begin in late September or early October. The project will be funded through the federal Transportation Enhancement Program with additional funds from the state, Tompkins County and the Town of Ithaca. A public information meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m Thursday, Sept. 12 at the Forest Home Chapel at 222 Forest Home Drive to discuss impacts of the project on the community.

2. The African-Latino Society and Academic Enrichment Services are co-sponsoring an open house at 7 p.m. tonight in the West Tower Concourse and Lobby.
3. The Cancer Resource Center is holding its annual meeting and celebration at 4:30 p.m. tonight at La Tourelle Resort and Spa. The celebration is free and open to the public, but the center asks for an RSVP to [email protected].
