Ithaca College sculling rows in Green Mountain Head Regatta

The Ithaca College sculling team competed in the Green Mountain Head Regatta on Oct. 2 in Putney, Vermont. It was the Bombers’ second regatta of the season.

The Bombers competed in the single and double sculling events. In the single event, junior Colby D’Onofrio recorded the top finish for the Blue and Gold, finishing in 14th with a time of 22:36.2. Seniors Madeline Petersen and Rachel Dowd and junior Kathryn Lawson finished in 23rd, 24th and 25th place with times of 24:30.4, 24:35.2 and 24:45.4 respectively.

In the double event, junior Karina Feitner and senior Jacqueline McDevitt placed fourth with a time of 21:04.9. Behind them was freshman Jennie Brian and senior Emily Vosburg, who placed fifth with a time of 21:21.3, and junior Libby Burns and sophomore Savannah Brija, who placed sixth with a time of 22:05.3. Senior Maeve Berry and sophomore Lindsey Caliga crossed the finish line in ninth, followed by junior Emily Campagna and senior Tara Malone.

The Bombers will compete again at 9 a.m. Oct. 9 at the Seven Sisters Regatta in Northampton, Massachusetts.
