1. In observance of World AIDS Day, there will be a screening of “How to Survive a Plague” at 7 p.m. in Textor 101. The screening is a part of the “Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen” film series.
2. Leonard Slutsky, junior integrated marketing communications major, was recently awarded the Steve Pacheco advertising scholarship worth $5,000. The scholarship is awarded to students who show determination and skill in advertising. Staff Writer Elizabeth Taylor spoke to Slutsky about his reaction to receiving the award and his experience in advertising.
3. IC Cheerleading is hosting an all-you-can-eat fundraiser at 7:30 p.m. at Moe’s. For $10, customers can eat as much food as they want, and $7 of the cost will go to the cheerleading team.
4. There will be a faculty recital featuring pianist Nathan Hess, assistant professor of performance studies, at 7 p.m. in the Hockett Recital Hall.
