The women’s golf team finished third in a field of nine teams at the St. Lawrence Invitational in Canton, N.Y. with a two-day total of 681. They posted a school-record score of 340 in the second round of the invitational today – one stroke better than the previous school record of 341 that was posted in the first round Saturday. The Bombers’ two day total this season was 54 shots better than their total from last year’s St. Lawrence Invitational.
Freshman Sharon Li posted the best tournament round ever by a Bomber with a score of 80 in the first round. Li’s two day total of 163 ranked eighth among all individuals at the event. Freshman Kelsey Baker was the Blue and Gold’s top performer of the second round, posting a score of 81. Baker’s two-day individual total of 165 was tied for tenth best among the rest of the field.
The Bombers will compete in the Empire 8 championships next weekend at Mill Creek Country Club in Churchville, N.Y.
