Women’s Cross-Country: Blue and Gold finish fifth at Oberlin

The Bombers finished fifth place out of 33 teams overall in the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble, which wrapped up their regular season.

Senior Heidi Baumbach was the first Bomber to complete the six-kilometer course, finishing in seventh place overall. Her time of 22:42 set a new personal record for the six-kilometer race.

Graduate student Alissa Kersey continued her late season success as she finished 24th overall in a time of 23:10.

Freshmen Alexa Rick, who returned to her native state of Ohio, was the third Bomber to finish the race. She finished 49th overall, clocking in a time of 23:49.

Junior Carly Graham finished just under 24 minutes earning her 59th place overall, and senior Molly Quinn rounded out the Bomber’s top five runners just three seconds later with 64th place.

The South Hill squad will compete at the New York State Collegiate Track Conference Championships on Saturday at St. Lawrence University.
