PETIT LARCENY UNDER $50

Location: Z-Lot / east of 127 E. Grant Egbert Blvd.

Summary: Caller reported an unknown person entered a vehicle and stole a key chain. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded. This is a pending investigation.

 

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT / PROPERTY DAMAGE

Location: M-Lot / 100 Block Lyceum Drive

Summary: Caller reported a twocar property damage motor vehicle accident. Patrol Officer Jordan Bartolis responded.

 

RECLASSIFICATION OF CRIME

Location: J-Lot / south of 143-151 Tower Skyline Drive

Summary: Caller reported first-hand information that they were not assaulted as a third party had originally reported Sept. 9. Tom Dunn, associate director and deputy chief of Public Safety & Emergency Management, responded and referred the student to the Title IX team in the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards.

 

FIRE ALARM ACCIDENTAL

Location: Circle Apartments Building 211 / 211 Flora Brown Drive

Summary: Simplex reported a fire alarm. Master Patrol Officer Sophia Dimkos determined the alarm was caused by burnt food.

 

CRIMINAL TAMPERING 3RD DEGREE

Location: Z-Lot / east of 127 E. Grant Egbert Blvd.

Summary: Caller reported an unknown person entered a vehicle and moved it several feet. Patrol Officer Ivan Cruz responded. This is a pending investigation.

 

FIRE ACTUAL FIRE / FLAME / IGNITION

Location: Circle Apartments Building 181 / 181 College Circle

Summary: Simplex reported a fire alarm. The activation was caused by a fire in the oven that was extinguished. Master Patrol Officer Sophia Dimkos responded.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

Location: Muller Faculty Center / 141 Textor Circle

Summary: Patrol Officer Matthew Patire reported an unknown person tried to gain access to the building, which was closed. This is a pending investigation.

 

FIRE ALARM ACCIDENTAL

Location: Circle Apartments Building 160 / 160 College Circle

Summary: Simplex reported a fire alarm. The activation was caused by water entering a smoke detector. Patrol Officer Thaddeus May responded.

 

SCC FIRE SAFETY RELATED OFFENSES

Location: Garden Apartment 26 / 136 E. Grant Egbert Blvd. 

Summary: Environmental Health & Safety staff reported locating propane tanks. One person was referred to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards. Charlie Sherman, fire and building safety coordinator, responded.

 

SCC FIRE SAFETY RELATED OFFENSES

Location: Garden Apartment 27 / 134 E. Grant Egbert Blvd.

Summary: Environmental Health & Safety staff reported two people did not leave the building during a fire alarm. The people were referred to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards. Fire Protection Specialist Enoch Perkins responded.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE / ILLNESS RELATED
Location: Terrace 2 / 119 Tower Skyline Drive

Summary: Caller reported a person with pain in their abdomen and difficulty breathing. The person was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Charlie Sherman, fire and building safety coordinator, responded.

 

V&T LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT

Location: O-Lot / north of 318 Grant Egbert Blvd.

Summary: Caller reported an unknown vehicle damaged a parked vehicle and left the area. Patrol Officer Connor McCoy responded. This is a pending investigation.

Summary: Simplex reported a fire alarm. Patrol Officer Kevin Noterfonzo determined the activation was caused by burnt food.

Summary: Caller reported a person refusing to leave. Patrol Officer Connor McCoy referred the person to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards for failure to comply and trespass.

Location: Terrace 10 / 112 Flora Brown Drive

Summary: Caller reported a person feeling faint. The person declined medical assistance. Patrol Officer Connor McCoy responded.

Location: East Tower / 143 Tower Skyline Drive

Summary: Caller reported that a person was depressed and that they were unable to contact them. Sergeant John Elmore responded and determined the person was not an imminent threat to themselves.

 

SCC IRRESPONSIBLE USE OF ALCOHOL/DRUGS

Location: Emerson Hall / 127 E. Grant Egbert Blvd.

Summary: Caller reported an intoxicated person. Patrol Officer Thaddeus May referred one person to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards.

Summary: Caller reported people were attempting to contact them after they were told to have no further contact. Patrol Officer Alex Hitchcock responded. This is a pending investigation.

Summary: Caller reported an unknown person failed to provide concert tickets. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded. This is a pending investigation.

Summary: Caller reported a person feeling depressed and unsafe when they are alone. Master Patrol Officer Sophia Dimkos responded. This is a pending investigation.

Summary: Tompkins County 911 Center reported a person was having chest pain. The person was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Master Patrol Officer Sophia Dimkos responded.

CHANGE IN THE CASE STATUS

Location: West Tower / 151 Tower Skyline Drive

Summary: Master Patrol Officer Sophia Dimkos spoke with the person who had previously been reported as feeling depressed and unsafe earlier in the day. Dimkos determined they were not in imminent danger to themselves.

Summary: Patrol Officer Matthew Patire reported people on a closed trail. Patire warned two people for violation of law or conduct code.

Location: Circle Apartments Building 111 / 111 College Circle

Summary: Patrol Officer Thaddeus May reported excessive noise. May referred three people to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards for irresponsible use of alcohol and noise.

Location: Office Of Public Safety / 122 Farm Pond Rd.

Summary: A person reported feeling faint. The person declined medical assistance. Patrol Officer Mayra Colon responded.

Summary: Caller reported an unauthorized person was inside the building. Patrol Officer Steven Hutchison responded and restricted the person from campus.

Summary: Simplex reported a fire alarm. Fire protection specialist George Whitmore responded and determined the activation was caused by burnt food.

Summary: Caller reported one person pushed another. Patrol Officer Connor McCoy responded. This is a pending investigation.

Location: Conservatory Drive / Roadway Conservatory Drive

Summary: Patrol Officer Dana Malcolm reported three people were operating a stolen golf cart. The people were referred to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards.

 

FORCIBLE TOUCHING NO DEGREE

Location: Garden Apartment 26 / 136 E. Grant Egbert Blvd.

Summary: Caller reported a person had sexual contact with another without consent. Patrol Officer Jordan Bartolis responded. This is a pending investigation.

Summary: Simplex reported a fire alarm. Patrol Officer Steven Hutchison responded and determined the activation was caused by cooking.
