CRIMINAL TAMPERING 3RD DEGREE

LOCATION: Upper Quads / North Of 286 Lyceum Drive

SUMMARY: Caller reported unknown person took a stop sign and the officer recovered it. Patrol Officer Steven Hutchison responded. 

 

MAKING GRAFFITI

LOCATION: Academic Quad / 100-300 Block Textor Circle

SUMMARY: Officer reported unknown person wrote graffiti. Patrol Officer Matthew Patire responded. This incident is a pending investigation. 

 

SCC DISRUPTIVE/EXCESSIVE NOISE

LOCATION: Campus Center / 113 Campus Center Way

SUMMARY: Patrol officer Matthew Patire reported a person recklessly kicked a door. The person was referred to conduct and the person was escorted to the counseling center.

SCC COLLEGE REGULATIONS

LOCATION: Campus Center Quad / East of 113 Campus Center Way

SUMMARY: Officer reported person flying a drone. Sergeant John Elmore provided the person a warning. The person responsible was warned for violation of the law or the Student Conduct Code.

 

FIRE ALARM SMOKE INVESTIGATION

LOCATION: Terrace 12 / 116 Flora Brown Drive

SUMMARY: Simplex reported a fire alarm. The activation was caused by smoke from an overloaded washing machine. Master Patrol Officer Robert Jones responded.

 

ACCIDENTAL PROPERTY DAMAGE

LOCATION: Dillingham Center / 117 Alumni Circle

SUMMARY: Simplex reported a sprinkler alarm. The activation was caused by equipment that fell on wiring. Patrol Officer Chaz Andrews responded.

LOCATION: Emerson Hall / 127 Grant Egbert Boulevard East, Ithaca, Ny 14850

SUMMARY: Caller reported unknown person smeared food on a door. The reported incident is a pending investigation. Patrol Officer Matthew Patire responded.

LOCATION: E-Lot / North of 141 Textor Circle

SUMMARY: Caller reported unknown person damaged walkway light. Patrol officer Matthew Patire responded. This is a pending investigation.

SUMMARY: Caller reported unknown person damaged the hose to a washing machine. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa. This is a pending investigation.

SUMMARY: Caller reported a person having an allergic reaction. The person declined medical assistance. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa completed the investigation and the report.

SUMMARY: Simplex reported a fire alarm. The activation was caused by burnt food. Patrol Officer Matthew Patire responded.

LOCATION: East Tower / 143 Tower Skyline Drive

SUMMARY: Caller reported feeling ill. The person declined medical assistance. Fire And Building Safety Coordinator Charlie Sherman responded. 

 

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT/  PERSONAL INJURY

LOCATION: Y-Lot / 950 Even Block Danby Road / 96B

SUMMARY: Patrol Officer Alex Hitchcock reported a three-car personal injury motor vehicle accident. One person had injuries to their neck, shoulder, and hands and they were transported to the hospital by ambulance.

SUMMARY: Patrol Officer Alex Hitchcock reported car and sign property damage in a motor vehicle accident.

SUMMARY: Caller reported they slipped and fell on a wet stairway April 2. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa completed the investigation.

SUMMARY: Caller reported two persons sleeping in a lounge. Ithaca Police Officer Jack Nelson issued two people a warning. The people responsible were warned for violation of the law or the Student Conduct Code.

SUMMARY: Caller reported a person was spreading rumors about them and a second person reported this same person attempted to instigate an altercation. This is a pending investigation. Officer Steven Hutchison responded. 

 

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE/ INJURY RELATED

LOCATION: O-Lot / North of 318 Grant Egbert Boulevard

SUMMARY: Tompkins County 911 center reported a backpack fell and injured a person’s knee. The person was provided medical assistance by ambulance staff and declined transport to hospital. Patrol Officer Jordan Bartolis completed the investigation.

SUMMARY: Caller reported person sent unwanted text messages after they were told to stop. Master Patrol Officer Robert Jones responded. This is a pending investigation. 

 

April 7

SCC IRRESPONSIBLE USE OF ALCOHOL/DRUGS

LOCATION: Clarke Hall / 406 Grant Egbert Boulevard

SUMMARY: Caller reported an intoxicated person fell and hit their head. The person was taken into custody under the mental hygiene law and was transported to the hospital by ambulance and referred to conduct. Patrol Officer Joe Cloke responded and referred to the Office of Student Conduct and Community standards.

SUMMARY: Caller reported unknown person damaged stall door, shower curtain, and curtain rod. Part-Time Casual Patrol Officer Joe Opper responded. This is a pending investigation.

LOCATION: Higgins Stadium (A&E Turf Field) / East of 150 Lyceum Drive

SUMMARY: Patrol Officer Jordan Bartolis reported wind damage to a light pole. The investigation was completed.
