Freshman Carolyn Nichols had a score of a 9.5, giving her the fourth place spot on that event.
“My vault is called a front front, and I’ve been really focused on fixing my form on it. Today at the meet I stuck it, which felt really good,” Nichols said.
On the uneven bars, sophomore Mina Shernan placed seventh with a score of a 9.15. On the balance beam, senior co-captain Lara Haberle was the top performer for the Blue and Gold, where she scored of a 9.2 and placed sixth.
Despite the lost, Cohen said the Blue and Gold made improvements from the last meet.
“Next meet our goal will be to perform our routines as well as we do them in practice. We want to hit our routines to the best of our ability under pressure,” Cohen said.
The Bombers will be hosting Springfield College, which is currently ranked eighth in the country, at 11 a.m. Feb. 6 in Ben Light Gymnasium.
