The volleyball team fought a tough match against No. 18–ranked Clarkson University on Nov. 14, falling to the Golden Knights 3–1. The Bombers finish their season with an overall record of 31–5.

The South Hill squad took the first set 25–23, but dropped the second set 25–23. The Bombers fell just short in the third set 25–22 and lost the fourth set 25–20. As a team, the Blue and Gold collected 47 kills, while hitting .159 on the night. Clarkson registered 59 kills on .200 hitting percentage.

The Bombers also collected 55 digs, 42 assists,12 blocks, and seven service aces throughout the match.

The Blue and Gold were led on the offensive front by sophomore outside hitter Joelle Goldstein, who finished the night with a career-high 20 kills on a .235 hitting percentage. Sophomore right side Caroline Gerulskis, freshman outside Hailey Adler and freshman middle hitter Amanda Cerruti each collected seven kills in the match. Cerruti and senior libero and captain Dylan Gawinski-Stern topped out the attacking percentage for the South Hill squad, hitting .500.  

Sophomore setter and captain Kayla Gromen finished the match with 37 assists, eclipsing 1,200 assists on the season. Gromen also collected 10 digs, two blocks and one service ace throughout the match.  

On the defensive front, the Bombers were led by Gawinski-Stern, who registered 14 digs. Goldstein and Adler both picked up 10 digs and sophomore defensive specialist Marlee Wierda collected seven digs on the night to aid the defensive effort for the team. Freshman middle hitter Katie Evans and Cerruti were a force at the net defensively for the Blue and Gold, totaling six blocks apiece. Gerulskis was also strong at the net for the Bombers, recording five blocks. Wierda and Adler each had a team-high three service aces for the Blue and Gold.

The South Hill squad finishes their strong season with a record of 31–5, its best record since the 1995 season, when they finished with a 41–4 record.
