Ithaca College will be expanding its on-campus electric vehicle charging stations. In the past, use of an EV charger on campus was free, but now the college will be implementing a fee that will charge users per kilowatt-hour.
The City of Ithaca's Climate Action Plan that was written in 2023 and will be rewritten over the next six months to include more climate justice-oriented goals. Ithaca residents have been urging for a community-focused plan that would bring in local climate and social justice organizations to help plan and combat climate change.
In the wake of the results of the election, many local groups in the city of Ithaca are expressing concerns about the implications of Trump’s second term.
In May 2024, Deanne Poitras was hired as the new health insurance navigator at the Ithaca College Hammond Health Center. Poitras’s services became available during summer 2024, but are in full swing Fall 2024.
