Binging on television

I haven’t had a television in college since freshman year. But I did spend a whole weekend recently watching all six seasons of Sex and the City.

Turns out, I’m not along in binging on television shows. A recent Cornell graduate (heyy Ithaca!) just published an article talking about college students watching marathons of television. College students don’t sit around the television watching Thursday’s line up anymore.

Thanks to sites like Hulu, Netflix and all those illegal sites, televisions aren’t necessary. And during the weekends, when you don’t want to do homework and it’s still too early to go out, binging on television is a great way to pass the time.

And for the record, I don’t regret the weekend I spent watching all the seasons of How I Met Your Mother.
