Jason Wu, up and coming designer best known for creating the floral vision that Michelle Obama wore to the 2009 Inaugural Ball, is the latest in a string of designers (like Missoni, Alexander McQueen, Thakoon and Stella McCartney to name a few…) to join forces with Target (read: Tar-jey, since they’re so fancy with their designer collaboration collections…) to create affordable designer swag at relatively affordable prices.
I, for one, can’t wait to see the collection, which will be coming out next February. I also hope to scoop up some of the Wu collection – it will also soothe my ruffled feathers over missing out on all the Missoni/Target goodies that sold out this fall. Wu’s known for his feminine, flirty collections and I’m sure that his signature style will carry over to the Target collection.
