Lee Tyson began their role as Pride Fellow for The Center for LGBT Education, Outreach, and Services at Ithaca College on Jan. 16, 2024. Prior to this role, Tyson completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Before the postdoctoral fellowship, Tyson received a Ph.D. in musicology and LGBT studies at Cornell University, where Tyson then taught as a visiting lecturer.

John Vongas is an associate professor in the School of Business at Ithaca College. He was able to lend his expertise to help research stress-work relationships and assisted in writing the paper “The Essential Impact of Stress Appraisals on Work Engagement.”

Anthony Di Renzo, a professor of writing at Ithaca College, recently published a book titled “Pasquinades: Essays from Rome’s Talking Statue,” on Oct. 28. The book started out as a collection of columns and essays that he wrote for “L’Italo Americano,” which is a bilingual Italian-American newspaper, and when approached about compiling the pieces into one work, he decided to take on the challenge. 
Carla Stetson is a finalist for the 2023 New York State Council on the Arts/New York Foundation for the Arts Artist Fellowship. The fellowship's purpose is to fund an artist's craft, no matter the discipline.

Co-Life and Culture Editor Molly Fitzsimons spoke with Lyons about The Lavender Rhino, the motives behind starting this project and where it is going next. Lyons was a journalism major at Ithaca College and later received an MBA at New York University, moving to New York City post-graduation. His professional experience so far has included journalism, content marketing, as well as being active politically and fighting for causes such as LGBTQ+ rights and empowerment.

Carl Mazzocone '81 showed a private screening of "The Hill" starring Colin Ford and Dennis Quaid on Sept. 5 at Cinempolis. Mazzocone served as executive producer of the new film, which he called "a nice little picture."

Carl Mazzocone ’81 is the executive producer for “The Hill,” a 2023 baseball drama and biopic for minor league baseball player Rickey Hill (Colin Ford). The film depicts Hill’s life in Fort Worth, Texas and his troubled relationship with his father, played by Dennis Quaid.
