The new thriller-comedy film “Forbidden Fruits” will not become a cult classic — yet. It is insanely camp and truly smart, but the bold genre-blending and all-encompassing reach leads to overwhelming storytelling that cannot resist piling on one more plot point or emblematic joke.
Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller lead an expert team of creatives to the stars in the highly anticipated adaptation of Andy Weir’s hard sci-fi bestseller “Project Hail Mary.” The movie, which blasted into theaters March 20 with a record-breaking opening weekend, has all the hallmarks of a Weir classic: accurate science, nailbiting tension and shamelessly brilliant characters.

Maggie Gyllenhaal’s long-awaited second film, “The Bride!” was released in theaters worldwide March 6. With the award season buzz surrounding Guillermo Del Toro’s “Frankenstein,” which released Oct. 17, and other remakes of classic monster films like Robert Eggers’ “Nosferatu” performing quite well a few years ago, Gyllenhaal’s remake of “The Bride of Frankenstein” feels like it was released at the perfect time.
Harry Styles has let the light in and beautifully emulated love in its truest form with his fourth studio album, “Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.” The album was released March 6, and was Styles’ first studio album since his Album Of The Year, “Harry’s House” in 2022. In true Harry fashion, the English singer/songwriter has returned with a style that is simply unmatched.
Director Baz Luhrmann surprised film buffs and rock ‘n’ roll fans alike with the announcement of his newest film, “EPiC (Elvis Presley in Concert),” as a follow-up to his 2022 biopic “Elvis.” Luhrmann used previously unseen footage to compile a collection of Elvis’ most heartfelt behind-the-scenes moments and bedazzling performances.

The yearner himself made his grand return with the release of “The Romantic” on Feb. 27. This is Bruno Mars’ first solo album in 10 years, and it does not disappoint.

Megan Moroney, a 28-year-old country artist from Georgia, released her third studio album titled “Cloud 9” on Feb. 20. Since her sophomore album “Am I Okay?,” Moroney’s popularity blew up significantly because of her emotional and personal lyrics. “Cloud 9” has a happier tone than Moroney’s previous albums, but still has the relatable lyrics that fans love.
