On Feb. 11, Ithaca College hosted its annual Martin Luther King Jr. keynote address as part of the campus wide MLK Celebration Week during Black History Month. The 2026 guest speaker was Cecil J. Williams, a South Carolinian Civil Rights leader, photojournalist, author and historian.

Dance team expresses frustration with SGC appropriations committee

At the Feb. 9 meeting of the Ithaca College Student Governance Council, the Island Fusion dance team made a budget appeal to the council after the budget for their spring showcase was denied. The council also received updates on the Middle States Reaccreditation process, confirmed two new senators and heard senate reports.
