Part-time faculty want to be a part of no-confidence vote

Ithaca College part-time faculty have expressed disappointment about being excluded from the vote of no confidence in President Tom Rochon to be held by Faculty Council and have been in conversation to initiate their own vote.

Marie Ulven Ringheim, better known as indie pop artist girl in red, takes a big leap with the release of her sophomore album “I’M DOING IT AGAIN BABY!.” Released April 12, this album follows the legacy of her first studio album “if i could make it go quiet” released April 30, with elements of indie pop and rock.
First-year student Taylor Brunn winds up in a game against Alfred University on April 9. Brunn, first-year pitcher Mady Rowell and senior pitcher Ainsley Rogers had not pitched in a collegiate game prior to this season but have played key roles in 2024.

Collegiate inexperience does not phase Bombers’ tightly connected pitching staff

In 2023, the Ithaca College softball team played three pitchers throughout its season, all of which had pitched at least six innings the previous year. In 2024, the team has thrown four different pitchers onto the mound, three of which had never thrown a gametime collegiate pitch in their life.
The faculty council heard the Provost report and study abroad updates from Rachel Gould, senior director of study abroad in the Office of International Programs April 2. 

Faculty Council votes to have a ‘not applicable’ choice in student statements

Ithaca College’s Faculty Council met April 2 to clarify definitions relating to types of appointments and faculty evaluation within Sections 4.9 and 4.12 of the Faculty Handbook. The council also voted upon adding a “not applicable” choice in standardizing student statement evaluations, which are collected from students toward the end of each semester for feedback on courses.

The Class of 2023 gathered May 21 in Glazer Arena to celebrate the completion of their undergraduate degrees with a procession, fanfare and a fist bump from President La Jerne Cornish.
The student body elected senators to seven out of 25 senate positions along with IC United as the executive ticket. The remaining positions, as well as the Class of 2026 senator position, will be open to run for during the Fall 2022 elections.

The Ithaca College student body has elected IC United and seven senators to the Student Governance Council (SGC) for the 2022–23 academic year. 
Ithaca College head coach Dan Swanstrom is leaving the football program to return to the University of Pennsylvania. The coach led the Bombers to a 32–11 record in four seasons.
