The Ithaca College men’s soccer team defeated St. John Fisher College 2–1 Oct. 29 in its final game of the regular season.

The Cardinals quickly took the lead, after freshman forward Jeff Meyers scored in the seventh minute.

Sophomore forward Alexander Brosnihan had the first shot of the day for the Bombers in the 10th minute, but it was denied by the Cardinals sophomore goalkeeper Joe Catalfamo. Freshman midfielder Kevin Turi evened the score in the 26th minute, assisted by sophomore midfielder Nathan Schoen.

Senior midfielder Scott Halpern then gave the Bombers the lead in the 38th minute of the first half. This would be all the Blue and Gold needed to clinch the 2–1 lead, as no goals were scored in the second half.

The Blue and Gold end the regular season with a 7–8–1 overall record and a 5–1–1 record in the Empire 8 Conference. They will play in the Empire 8 Championships on Nov. 4.
