Men’s Soccer: Team falls in low-scoring conference contest

The men’s soccer team lost its third straight game yesterday, losing 1–0 at Rochester Institute of Technology. The Bombers are now 4–8–1 on the season.

The Tigers scored a goal in the 25th minute, and that was all they needed to secure the victory. Rochester Institute of Technology senior midfielder David Vogt converted a rebound off Bombers sophomore goalkeeper Jack Van Adelsburg for what became the game-winning goal.

Rochester Institute of Technology outshot the South Hill Squad 14–8 during the game. Only three of the Bombers’ shots were on goal, two of which came from junior back Jack Shirley. Van Adelsberg made five saves in goal.

The Blue and Gold finish regular season play with a game against Empire 8 Conference opponent Elmira College at 4 p.m. Saturday.
