Bombers advance to Liberty League Championship after dominating the Engineers

The Ithaca College women’s lacrosse team played in the Liberty League Semifinals against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on May 3 and are moving to the finals after handily defeating the Engineers 14–7.

The Ithaca College baseball team took on the Vassar College Brewers in the first two games of the Liberty League Crossover Series on May 3. However, with the Bombers’ bats catching fire, there will be no need for a third game, as the South Hill squad won the first game 11–1 and the second game 9–5 with the help of some late-game heroics.
The Ithaca College Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on April 25 that longtime head athletic trainer Michael Matheny will retire at the end of the academic year after 37 years with the college.

The Ithaca College Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced April 25 that longtime head athletic trainer Michael Matheny will be retiring at the end of the 2023–24 academic year.

During the 1967 NFL draft, the Atlanta Falcons chose Sandor Szabo ’67 with the 317th pick. That was 57 years ago and no athlete from Ithaca College has made it close to the NFL since then. Until now.

Anyone who has watched the Ithaca College baseball team this season has had the privilege of witnessing greatness. Senior outfielder Louis Fabbo is in the midst of a historic career and is cementing himself as one of the greatest players to dawn the Bomber uniform.

Dynasty: a word thrown around so often in modern sports that it hardly means anything anymore. Winning a few championships or competitions within a short time frame is impressive, yet that does not fit the definition.

The Ithaca College lacrosse team sent its seniors off on a high note, defeating Liberty League rival, the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds 15–10 April 27. The Bombers got their first and only conference win of the season.

Bombers put on dominant showcase on Senior Day

On a cold and rainy Senior Day, the Ithaca College baseball team had nothing to sulk around about, as the team lit up the Hobart College Statesmen by scores of 8–4 and 9–0 on April 27. With those wins, the team clinched the no. 1 seed in the Liberty League and home field advantage for the Liberty League Crossover Series on May 4.
On April 19, Andrew Parker was appointed as the assistant director of athletics for sports performance at the college. Parker will be replacing Vic Brown, who was with the college from 2014–2024.
