Sculling concludes season at Collegiate Small Boat Challenge

The Ithaca College sculling team concluded its season on Nov. 6 at the Collegiate Small Boat Challenge in Mercer, New Jersey.

In the single sculling time trial, junior Colby D’Onofrio placed third with a time of 7:56.81. Senior Rebecca Veninsky placed fifth, followed by freshman Jennifer Brian, sophomore Savannah Brija and junior Emily Campagna in seventh, eighth and ninth place respectively.

D’Onofrio went on to the A final, where she took the top spot, finishing in 8:14:2. Veninsky came in fifth with a time of 8:32.50. In the B final, Brija placed first, followed by Brian in third and Campagna in fifth.

In the doubles sculling time trial, Emily Vosburg and junior Karina Feitner placed second with a time of 7:15.3. Senior Jacqueline McDevitt and junior Libby Burns placed eighth, while seniors Maddie Peterson and Tara Malone were right behind them in ninth.

Vosburg and Feitner moved onto the A final and came in second with a time of 7:47.72. Peterson and Malone took the top spot in the A final and McDevitt and Burns placed third.

This competition concluded the Bombers season.
