With a new vision and staff, Ithaca College’s Digital Instruction and Information Services plans to upgrade key parts of the college’s wireless internet service by May 2017, completing an overhaul of the system which began last fall.
McIntosh said there is more maintenance that needs to be scheduled in the coming weeks. According to an announcement from Apogee, Ithaca College’s Internet provider, on March 14, more maintenance is scheduled from March 14 to 18 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Starting on March 6, network issues have been affecting Ithaca College network systems and Internet services managed by Digital Instruction and Information Services.
This is the first indication that the building houses the Ithaca Generator, a makerspace and collective that offers makers of all backgrounds the space, tools and community to create.
The latest update to HomerConnect is called “HomerConnect 2.0,” which implies that this is a major update with significant improvements.
Ithaca College will be releasing “HomerConnect 2.0” later this week, an update to the Ithaca College student and faculty database, which students also use to register for classes.
Afer using HomerConnect for the first time, freshman Aaron Zufall decided to create a Google Chrome extension that would make the website easier to use.
