In the wake of the all-college faculty meeting that took place on Thursday, Jan.
Collado said her two largest focuses this year are to get to know the college deeply as an institution and to encourage campus communities to come together.
Despite the multitude of issues plaguing the college, Rochon has given the impression that he remains oblivious to the current campus climate.
While addressing the college at his final All-College Meeting, President Tom Rochon spoke about the progress he made during his tenure as president.
The Ithaca College administration took a different approach to the biannual All-College Meeting on Aug. 18. Instead of the traditional meeting structure consisting of updates on the budget, enrollment data or upcoming initiatives, President Tom Rochon focused on two “commitments” to the campus community — diversity and inclusion, and shared governance.
An Ithaca College administrator announced at the Jan. 21 All-College Meeting that the initiative to cut 40 staff positions over the course of the 2015–16 academic school year will no longer include positions that are currently filled.
The deadline to register for The Chronicle of Higher Education’s Great Colleges program is Feb. 17, but Ithaca College decided against entering again this year.
