Presidential search sessions show low student attendance

Spencer Stuart, the executive search firm tasked with finding applicants for the ninth president of Ithaca College, met with members of the campus community April 19, however some of the sessions had a low student turnout.

As Ithaca College predicts a drop in its applicant pool by about 1,700 students for the 2015–16 academic year, the Office of Admission is employing new strategies for reaching out to accepted students to encourage them to enroll, while individual schools strengthen their current tactics.

Ithaca College has seen a 13 percent increase in freshmen applications for Fall 2013, compared to last year. The 15,641 applications mark the the largest applicant pool in the college’s history.
