Creating a safe, accessible campus for all Ithaca College students is not just important but absolutely essential. No student should have to skip class or avoid going to a certain dining hall or building because accessible pathways do not exist or do not function. 
The two most recent swastikas reported at Ithaca College were found in the Baker elevator and outside of a Kosher Kitchen storage room near Terrace Dining Hall. Tyler Wagenet, physical security systems engineer in the Office of Information Security and Access Management, said via email that there are no security cameras in any location where swastikas have been found.

Investigations into five swastikas at college continue to see no results

At Ithaca College, there have been five reported instances of swastikas being drawn on or carved into surfaces on the college campus since January 2022.
In an Oct. 12 email to the campus community, Cornish said a student reported a swastika etched into the metal inside the Baker Walkway elevator in the James J. Whalen Center for Music.
