After being named runner-up in 2021 and 2023, the No. 22 Ithaca College field hockey team finally captured its first-ever Liberty League title. The Bombers defeated the No. 20 University of Rochester Yellowjackets 2-0, in a rainy championship matchup Nov. 10 at Higgins Stadium.Â
In a win-or-go-home matchup, the No. 22 Ithaca College field hockey team chose the former. The Bombers hosted the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds, defeating them, 2-0, in the Liberty League semifinal game Nov. 8. The victory extends the Bombers’ winning streak to eight and improves their overall record to 14-5.Â
The Ithaca College field hockey team celebrated senior day with a thrilling shootout victory over the No. 17 Ursinus College Bears. The 2-1 win marks the Bombers’ final regular season game and improves their record to 13-5.
In a midday matchup on Oct. 25, the Ithaca College field hockey team extended its winning streak to four games in a Liberty League victory against the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds. The 2-0 victory improves the Bombers’ in-conference record to 5-1 and 10-5 overall.Â
In its second Liberty League matchup of the 2024 season, the No. 19 Ithaca College field hockey team fell 2-1 to the William Smith College Herons on Oct. 5. The loss drops the Bombers’ record to 6-5 overall and 1-1 in the conference.Â

On Sept. 28, the nationally ranked No. 18 Ithaca College field hockey team returned home to open up Liberty League play with a dominant 3-1 victory over the Union College Garnet Chargers. The victory improves the Bombers’ record to 6-3 and 1-0 in the conference.Â
On Sept. 4, the Ithaca College field hockey team maintained its perfect record. The Bombers extended their record to 3-0 with a 1-0 victory over the previously undefeated Misericordia University Cougars in a gritty non-conference matchup.Â
Ithaca College athletics wrapped up its fall season with many achievements under each squad's belt. Football, field hockey and sophomore Kyla Eisman of women's cross country made it into NCAA tournament play.
After a 2–1 victory Oct. 22 in Poughkeepsie, the Ithaca College field hockey team rematched the Vassar College Brewers in the Liberty League semifinal game on Nov. 3 at Higgins Stadium. The Bombers expanded on their previous one-point advantage, besting the Brewers in a dominant, 3–0, showing.
The Ithaca College field hockey team bolstered its position at the top of Liberty League standings with a 2–1 victory over the St. Lawrence University Saints on Oct. 4 at Higgins Stadium.
