TEDx is a branch of the TED speaker series. The club is planning a one-day TEDx event in March with a lineup of students, faculty and members of the greater Ithaca community, which will officially be announced in the spring semester.

New organization to bring TEDx back to the college

Ithaca Talks, a new student organization, is working to bring the TEDx event back to Ithaca College in Spring 2020. 
Shehnaz Haqqani, diversity scholar fellow in the Women’s and Gender Studies program, was one of the three diversity scholars presenting research at the Diversity Scholar Research Showcase on March 29. Haqqani discussed her research on how gender patterns influence Islamic views on gender.

Diversity scholar fellows share research on minority groups

Diversity scholar fellows from three departments on campus shared their Cuban-American culture, research on religion and LGBTQ refugee rights.
Sophomore Emily Quinn, president and founder of the Adoption Support and Awareness Alliance, was adopted from China at three months old and is now using the club to create a community for adoptees.
