These outages have been an embarrassment for DIIS and for the college’s brand, which depends on a competent network and navigable system of communication at all times.

McIntosh said there is more maintenance that needs to be scheduled in the coming weeks. According to an announcement from Apogee, Ithaca College’s Internet provider, on March 14, more maintenance is scheduled from March 14 to 18 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Members of the Ithaca College administration, including Nancy Pringle, senior vice president and general counsel for the Division of Human and Legal Resources, are in the process of meeting with staff members in departments that experienced cuts through the college’s workforce analysis to debrief on how employees are adjusting.

Starting on March 6, network issues have been affecting Ithaca College network systems and Internet services managed by Digital Instruction and Information Services.
Ithaca College has announced its new open-housing policy — a housing option that enables students to select roommates regardless of their sex or gender. Freshmen Anna Gardner and Joe Simpson plan on utilizing the open-housing policy in the fall.
