The Ithaca College football team will participate in the 65th edition of the Cortaca Jug, traveling to bitter rival and defending 2023 national champion Cortland State Nov. 16.
They say two’s company and three’s a crowd, but when it comes to volleyball, three is the magic number. It’s the number of times a team can touch the ball during a rally, the number of sets needed to win a match and, if the sophomores of the Ithaca College volleyball team are anything to go by, the ideal number of players for a recruiting class.

On Sept. 14, also known as National Field Hockey Day, spectators were given the gift of a top-20 matchup, and that matchup did not disappoint. The No. 17 Ithaca College Field Hockey team took down the No. 9 team in Division III, York College, with just one lethal penalty corner to start the game — and end it — at 1-0.

During the 1967 NFL draft, the Atlanta Falcons chose Sandor Szabo ’67 with the 317th pick. That was 57 years ago and no athlete from Ithaca College has made it close to the NFL since then. Until now.
Ithaca College and Cornell University are not only united by location but also through sports. Over the decades, the track and field and softball programs of both Ithaca and Cornell have formed interdependent relationships that benefit both schools through facility usage and inter-division competition.Â
When first baseman Laura Remia ’01 smacked 10 home runs in her inaugural college season, she etched her name into the Ithaca College softball record books with one of the best power-hitting seasons the school had ever seen.

Amid preparations for the upcoming season, the Ithaca College women's soccer team went to Portugal for a week during spring break from March 10–17. They played matches, explored the country and helped out in the community.
The Ithaca College wrestling team sent five competitors to the NCAA Division lll wrestling championships at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on March 15. The tournament capped off what was another successful season for the Bombers as they continued their tradition of excellence in the Division lll wrestling scene.
Since the end of the 2023 Ithaca College Bombers’ football season, All-American graduate student defensive back Derek Slywka has been training to get a shot in the National Football League.Â
Former Ithaca College linebacker Isaac Hadac finds himself still involved in the football world even after his playing days. These days, he finds himself training football players, striving to make them the best they can become.

The Ithaca College men’s wrestling team competed in the Ithaca Quad on Feb. 3, dominating in all three matches in a pinning frenzy. Throughout the three matches, the Bombers racked up 14 wins by fall.
The Ithaca College women’s basketball team is now holding a record of 13–3 and have been dominating Liberty League play. Through that run, the Bombers’ staunch defensive effort has been on full display.Â
