Students from Ithaca College interned for NBC and the Winter Olympics for the first part of the spring semester.
Emily Morley ’16 was the first rower from the Bahamas to compete at the Olympics. Becky Robinson, Ithaca College head women’s crew and sculling coach, and Beth Greene, Ithaca College assistant women’s crew and sculling coach, coached her at the Olympics.
Four members of the Ithaca College women’s crew team, juniors Julia Williamson and Bailey Doran and seniors Rebecca Veninsky and Maeve Berry, created the documentary “2000 Meters Out” about former teammate and Olympic rower Emily Morley ’16.
The women’s crew team decided to put its attention on the Dad Vail Regatta for the spring season due to changes to the selection process for the NCAA Championship.
Senior Emily Morley is attempting to become the first citizen of the Bahamas to qualify for rowing in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The sculling team continued its strong start to its season this weekend in Rochester, New York, as the Bombers swept the Head of Genesee regatta in medals, finishing first in both categories.
