Since 2019, Ithaca College has received First-Generation Forward status from NASPA, Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education. It is essential that Ithaca College support first-generation students and foster their ability to find community at the college.Â
Ithaca College President La Jerne Cornish and members of the President’s Cabinet gave updates to the campus community about enrollment, finances and student life at the State of the College gathering.
Ultimately, building this new living community is demonstrative of the Office of Residential Life’s understanding of first-generation students’ needs.
